The Carrington continues to follow CDC and Illinois Department of Public Health guidance to keep our residents and staff as safe as possible. Residents, staff and visitors are required to wear masks at all times and complete a CDC questionnaire and receive a temperature screening prior to entering the community. Our staff receives temperature screenings multiple times each day. Common areas are limited to residents only and are disinfected multiple times per day. The Carrington’s goal is for our residents and staff to feel as safe and as comfortable as possible as we adjust to these protocols.

Please call 847-941-0793 or email info@thecarrington.com for the most current information about The Carrington’s safety precautions at this time. For department specific inquiries, please call 847-973-6262 and ask the Concierge to connect you to the appropriate extension.

Designated Visitors

Designated visitors must be registered with our front desk and can be accompanied by one additional member from their direct household. Designated visitors AND the member of their direct household must BOTH provide either: 1) proof they have completed a COVID vaccination *both doses for Moderna or Pfizer*, or 2) negative COVID test results less than seven days old. All visitors must be over the age of 18 and follow current safety protocols including completing CDC questionnaires and receiving temperature screenings prior to entering the community.

*Please ask our Concierge for local testing locations. We cannot provide COVID testing on-site for designated visitors*

Vaccine Updates

Independent Living Residents are assigned to groups with a scheduled time to receive the vaccine. This is to limit the number of residents in the vaccine administration area. All residents in Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living who are in the community 1/22 have the opportunity to receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Any residents not present can receive their first dose 2/12. Walgreens is administering vaccines to AL & MC residents in their areas of the community.
